Pregnancy Testing

Find Out If You’re Pregnant

If you’ve had unprotected sex or experienced birth control failure and think you might be pregnant, we are here for you. Our mobile unit provides free pregnancy testing to women in the Nashville area. We can help you find out if you’re actually pregnant and give you the information and resources you need to make an educated decision regarding your next steps.

Early Pregnancy Symptoms

In early pregnancy women can notice certain changes or symptoms. If you think you might be pregnant, you may be hyper-aware of your body and see any change as an indication of pregnancy. While there are certain signs of pregnancy that are easier to spot than others, there are some that could be mistaken for other conditions, like PMS or illness. Some of the most common early pregnancy symptoms include:

  • Missed period
  • Nausea and/or vomiting
  • Distaste for certain foods
  • Frequent urination
  • Back pain
  • Headaches
  • Swollen or tender breasts
  • Cramping and/or spotting

If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, especially a missed period, you’ll want to take a pregnancy test.

Free Pregnancy Testing Services

Our mobile unit offers free pregnancy testing services to women in the Nashville area. Our tests are clinic-performed and are offered in a confidential environment. When you make an appointment, our staff will ensure the test is administered correctly to prevent possible errors and they will discuss your results with you immediately.

Pregnancy tests detect a hormone called hCG that is present in the body during pregnancy. As your pregnancy develops, there will be a larger concentration of hCG present in your urine. This means, the longer you wait to take a pregnancy test, the more accurate it will be. If you take a test too early, like before you miss your period, there might not be enough hCG in your urine for the test to detect. This could produce false-negative results when you are actually pregnant.

The best time to take a pregnancy test is about one week after your missed period. If you’ve already missed your period or have a strong suspicion that you may be pregnant, contact us and schedule a free pregnancy testing appointment at our mobile unit.

After a Positive Pregnancy Test

After receiving a positive result on a pregnancy test, you might be worried, scared or even confused. Just know that you are not alone. While a positive pregnancy test provides an indication of pregnancy, the only way to tell if you have a viable pregnancy is to have an ultrasound performed. After your pregnancy test, we will determine if you are eligible for a free limited ultrasound. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff can provide you with valuable information about your pregnancy and help you with your next steps.
